The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore a patterned cloak that had markings on it, then he gave it to Abu Jahm and took from Abu Jahm a plain cloak of his.Abu Jahm asked, "Messenger of Allah, why is that?"He replied, "I found myself looking at its markings during the prayer."
و حدثني مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ لبس خميصة لها علم ثم أعطاها أبا جهم وأخذ من أبي جهم أنبجانية له فقال يا رسول الله ولم فقال إني نظرت إلى علمها في الصلاة
