Abu Ghatafan bin Tarif Murri reported,

Umar bin Khattab said, "Whoever gives a gift to maintain ties of kinship, or gives it as charity, may not take it back. But whoever gives a gift while considering that he intended by it some return, he retains his claim to that gift and may take it back if he is not satisfied with what he receives for it."
