The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whenever a man grants a lifetime gift to another, for him and his descendants, it belongs to the one who is given it. It never returns to the one who gave it, because he has made a gift over which the rules of inheritance now apply."
حدثني مالك عن ابن شهاب عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال أيما رجل أعمر عمرى له ولعقبه فإنها للذي يعطاها لا ترجع إلى الذي أعطاها أبدا لأنه أعطى عطاء وقعت فيه المواريث
