The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade muzabanah and muhaqalah. Muzabanah is buying fruit still on the tree in exchange for dried dates, and muhaqalah is buying a standing crop in exchange for wheat, as well as renting land for wheat.Ibn Shihab said, "I asked Saeed bin Musayab about renting land for gold and silver."He replied, "There is no harm in that."
و حدثني عن مالك عن ابن شهاب
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن المزابنة والمحاقلة والمزابنة اشتراء الثمر بالتمر والمحاقلة اشتراء الزرع بالحنطة واستكراء الأرض بالحنطة قال ابن شهاب فسألت سعيد بن المسيب عن استكراء الأرض بالذهب والورق فقال لا بأس بذلك
