The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade bartering fruit for dates and renting land for a share of the crop. Bartering fruit for dates means buying the fruit still on the palm trees with dried dates, and renting land for a share of the crop means leasing land in exchange for wheat.

أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن المزابنة والمحاقلة والمزابنة اشتراء الثمر بالتمر في رءوس النخل والمحاقلة كراء الأرض بالحنطة
