Nafi reported,

Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Umar sent word to Ayesha, asking her whether a man may have intimate contact with his wife while she is menstruating.She replied, "Let her tie her wrapper firmly over her lower body, and then he may be intimate with her if he wishes."
