Rabia bin Abu Abdul-Rahman reported,

Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, was lying beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ under a single garment when she suddenly sprang up with a start.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "What is the matter with you? Has your period perhaps begun?""Yes," she replied.He said, "Fasten your wrapper tightly about yourself, then come back to your place."

أن عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ كانت مضطجعة مع رسول الله ﷺ في ثوب واحد وأنها قد وثبت وثبة شديدة فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ ما لك لعلك نفست يعني الحيضة فقالت نعم قال شدي على نفسك إزارك ثم عودي إلى مضجعك
