Abdullah bin Umar used to say that when a man permits his slave to marry, the power of divorce rests with the slave alone, and no one else has any share in that divorce. As for a man taking back the slave woman he had given to his male slave, or the slave woman he had given to his slave girl, there is no blame on him for that.
و حدثني عن مالك
أن عبد الله بن عمر كان يقول من أذن لعبده أن ينكح فالطلاق بيد العبد ليس بيد غيره من طلاقه شيء فأما أن يأخذ الرجل أمة غلامه أو أمة وليدته فلا جناح عليه
