Abdullah bin Umar used to say that when a slave divorces his wife with two pronouncements of divorce, she becomes forbidden to him until she marries another husband, whether she is a free woman or a slave woman. The waiting period of a free woman is three menstrual cycles, and the waiting period of a slave woman is two.

أن عبد الله بن عمر كان يقول إذا طلق العبد امرأته تطليقتين فقد حرمت عليه حتى تنكح زوجا غيره حرة كانت أو أمة وعدة الحرة ثلاث حيض وعدة الأمة حيضتان
