Qasim bin Muhammad reported,

A man from Thakeef gave his wife control over her own affair. She said, "You are divorced."He kept silent.Then she said again, "You are divorced."He said, "May a stone fill your mouth."Then she said once more, "You are divorced."He said, "May a stone fill your mouth."They brought their dispute before Marwan bin Hakam, who had him swear that he had granted her only one pronouncement, and he returned her to him.

عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه

أن رجلا من ثقيف ملك امرأته أمرها فقالت أنت الطلاق فسكت ثم قالت أنت الطلاق فقال بفيك الحجر ثم قالت أنت الطلاق فقال بفاك الحجر فاختصما إلى مروان بن الحكم فاستحلفه ما ملكها إلا واحدة وردها إليه
