A man said to Abdullah bin Abbas, "I divorced my wife a hundred times. What do you say is due from me?"Ibn Abbas replied, "She is divorced from you by three of them, and with the other ninety-nine you have made a mockery of the verses of Allah."

أن رجلا قال لعبد الله بن عباس: إني طلقت امرأتي مئة تطليقة، فماذا ترى علي؟ فقال له ابن عباس: طلقت منك لثلاث، وتسع وتسعون اتخذت بها آيات الله هزوا.
