Ibn Shihab reported,

There were about two months between Safwan's acceptance of Islam and that of his wife.Ibn Shihab said, "It has not reached us that any woman emigrated to Allah and His Messenger while her husband remained a disbeliever in the land of unbelief without her emigration separating her from her husband, unless her husband came as an emigrant before her waiting period had ended."

و حدثني عن مالك

عن ابن شهاب أنه قال

كان بين إسلام صفوان وبين إسلام امرأته نحو من شهرين قال ابن شهاب ولم يبلغنا أن امرأة هاجرت إلى الله ورسوله وزوجها كافر مقيم بدار الكفر إلا فرقت هجرتها بينها وبين زوجها إلا أن يقدم زوجها مهاجرا قبل أن تنقضي عدتها
