We pledged our allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to listen and obey in ease and in hardship, in what we found agreeable and what we found burdensome, not to contest authority with those who hold it, and to speak the truth, or to stand for the truth, wherever we might be, fearing no one's blame in the cause of Allah.
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد قال
بايعنا رسول الله ﷺ على السمع والطاعة في اليسر والعسر والمنشط والمكره وأن لا ننازع الأمر أهله وأن نقول أو نقوم بالحق حيثما كنا لا نخاف في الله لومة لائم
