The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you see a man who has been granted detachment from the world and few words, draw close to him, for he is given wisdom."

قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا رأيتم الرجل قد أعطي زهدا في الدنيا وقلة منطق فاقتربوا منه فإنه يلقي الحكمة

[Its chain is daif] Bukhari transmitted it in Tarikh al-Kabir, the section on kunyas, 8/27, 28, from Hisham, and Kathir bin Hisham followed him in narrating it, as found in Abu Naeem's Hilyah, 10/405.It has several flaws, among them the weakness of Abu Farwa Yazid ibn Sinan, see hadith (2581). The hadith has two extremely daif corroborating narrations, one in the work of the author of Hilyah, 7/317, and another in Abu Yaala.
