The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and asked for water for ablution. I brought him water, and he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose from a single handful.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا أبو الحسين العكلي عن خالد بن عبد الله عن عمرو بن يحيى عن أبيه
أتانا رسول الله ﷺ فسألنا وضوءا فأتيته بماء فمضمض واستنشق من كف واحد
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Wudu, Chapter on One Who Rinsed the Mouth and Sniffed Water Into the Nose from a Single Handful, hadith 191, and Muslim in the Book of Purification, Chapter on Another Description of Wudu, hadith 235, from the hadith of Khalid bin Abdullah, both at length and in brief.
