I asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, is it tribalism for a man to love his people?"He replied, "No, but it is tribalism for a man to support his people in wrongdoing."

سألت النبي ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله أمن العصبية أن يحب الرجل قومه قال لا ولكن من العصبية أن يعين الرجل قومه على الظلم
[Daif] Abbad, whose status was mentioned earlier, hadith 1462, and Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter on tribal partisanship, hadith 5119, from the hadith of Salama bin Bishr Dimashqi, from the daughter of Wathila bin Asqa, from her father, in abridged form, and its chain is daif. It has another route containing Sadaqa bin Yazid, who is daif.
