The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever fights under a banner of blind allegiance, calling to tribal partisanship or becoming angry for the sake of tribal partisanship, his death is a death of ignorance."
حدثنا بشر بن هلال الصواف حدثنا عبد الوارث بن سعيد حدثنا أيوب عن غيلان بن جرير عن زياد بن رياح
قال رسول الله ﷺ من قاتل تحت راية عمية يدعو إلى عصبية أو يغضب لعصبية فقتلته جاهلية
Muslim narrated it in the book of Leadership, in the chapter on the obligation of adhering to the community of Muslims when disturbances arise etc., hadith no. 53/1848, from the hadith of Ayub through this same chain.
