The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever seizes plunder is not one of us."
حدثنا حميد بن مسعدة حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا حميد حدثنا الحسن
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من انتهب نهبة فليس منا
[Sahih] Abu Dawud narrated it in jihad, in the chapter on urging horses on with shouting during a race, hadith 2581, from the hadith of Humayd, through him. Tirmidhi narrated it, hadith 1123, and said it is hasan sahih. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih. See also hadith 3935, for it serves as a corroborating witness for it.
