The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The fornicator does not commit fornication while he is a believer, the drinker does not drink wine while he is a believer, the thief does not steal while he is a believer, and no one seizes plunder of value, such that people raise their eyes toward him, while he is a believer."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يزني الزاني حين يزني وهو مؤمن ولا يشرب الخمر حين يشربها وهو مؤمن ولا يسرق السارق حين يسرق وهو مؤمن ولا ينتهب نهبة يرفع الناس إليه أبصارهم حين ينتهبها وهو مؤمن
Bukhari narrated it, Grievances, chapter on the prohibition of entering without the owner's permission, no. 6772/2475, and Muslim, Faith, chapter on explaining the diminishment of faith through sins and the denial of it from one engaged in sin with the intent of denying its completeness, no. 57/101, from the hadith of Layth, with this wording.
