Abu Qasim ﷺ said, "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunya as your own."

قال أبو القاسم ﷺ تسموا باسمي ولا تكنوا بكنيتي
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues, Chapter on the Nickname of the Prophet ﷺ, no. 3539, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this chain, and Muslim, in the Book of Manners, Chapter on the Prohibition of Using Abu Qasim as a Nickname and an Explanation of the Names That Are Recommended, no. 2134, from Ibn Abu Shayba, with this chain.
