The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded that the skins of dead animals be put to use once they had been tanned.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا خالد بن مخلد عن مالك بن أنس عن يزيد بن قسيط عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن عن أمه
أمر رسول الله ﷺ أن يستمتع بجلود الميتة إذا دبغت
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the chapter on Clothing, section on the hides of dead animals, hadith 4124, from the hadith of Malik with this chain, and it is also found in Muwatta, 2/498, and in Musannaf, 8/192.The mother of Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman, I have not found anyone who declared her trustworthy except Ibn Hibban, and Atharam said she is not known, Jawhar Naqi, 1/17.
