One of the Mothers of the Believers had a sheep that died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by it and said, "It would not have harmed its owners to make use of its hide."

Grading, hasan. It is found in al-Musannaf 8/190, and Busiri graded it daif because of Layth bin Abu Salim, mentioned earlier, hadith 208. It has a daif corroborating narration in Tabarani 17/212, hadith 576, and the preceding hadith corroborates it.
