Ubayd bin Rifa reported,
Asma asked, "Messenger of Allah, the sons of Jafar are afflicted by the evil eye. Shall I seek a ruqyah for them?"He replied, "Yes, for if anything were to outstrip destiny, it would be the evil eye."

عن عبيد بن رفاعة الزرقي قال
قالت أسماء يا رسول الله إن بني جعفر تصيبهم العين فأسترقي لهم قال نعم فلو كان شيء سابق القدر سبقته العين
[Sahih]. Narrated by Tirmidhi, Chapter on Medicine, section on what has been narrated about ruqya against the evil eye, no. 2059, from the hadith of Sufyan, and he said, hasan sahih. It is also found in Musnad Ibn Abu Shayba, 7/414.Ibn Uyayna narrated it with an ana chain, but Ayub corroborated him, as found in Tirmidhi, no. 2059, and elsewhere. This hadith has other paths of transmission as well, among them what Muslim narrated, no. 1719/4, from the hadith of Ibn Abbas
