The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek refuge with Allah, for the evil eye is real."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا أبو هشام المخزومي حدثنا وهيب عن أبي واقد عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
قال رسول الله ﷺ استعيذوا بالله فإن العين حق
[Its isnad is daif] Hakim recorded it in 4/215 from the hadith of Wahib, with this wording, and he graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abu Waqid Salih bin Muhammad bin Zaidah, his status was discussed earlier, hadith no. 2769, and the previous hadith makes this one unnecessary.
