The Prophet ﷺ fell from his horse onto a tree trunk and sprained his foot. Waki said, meaning that the Prophet ﷺ had cupping performed on it due to the sprain.

[Sahih] Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Prayer, chapter "The Imam Praying Sitting Down," no. 602, through the hadith of Waki with this wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 1615, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 365. It has a corroborating narration in Muslim and others through the hadith of Layth bin Saad, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir, with this wording, and by this the hadith is confirmed as sahih.
