He narrated to him that the Prophet ﷺ used to be cupped on the crown of his head and between his shoulders, and he would say, "Whoever has this blood drawn from him, it will not harm him if he does not seek any other treatment for any ailment."
حدثنا محمد بن المصفى الحمصي حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم حدثنا ابن ثوبان عن أبيه
أنه حدثه أن النبي ﷺ كان يحتجم على هامته وبين كتفيه ويقول من أهراق منه هذه الدماء فلا يضره أن لا يتداوى بشيء لشيء
[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Medicine, chapter on the place of cupping, hadith no. 3859, from the hadith of Walid with this wording. See hadith no. 255 for its defect. Walid did not explicitly state that he heard it throughout the entire chain.
