The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not force your sick to eat or drink, for Allah feeds them and gives them to drink."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا بكر بن يونس بن بكير عن موسى بن علي بن رباح عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تكرهوا مرضاكم على الطعام والشراب فإن الله يطعمهم ويسقيهم
Its isnad is daif. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Medicine, in the chapter, "Do not force your sick to eat and drink," hadith 2040, from the hadith of Bakr, and he said, hasan gharib, and likewise Busiri graded it hasan.Bakr was deemed daif by the majority, and his hadith has daif corroborating narrations in Hakim, 4/410, and elsewhere.
