The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore wool and put on patched sandals.He also said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate coarse food and wore rough clothing."Hasan was asked, "What is bashi?"He replied, "Coarse barley. He could only swallow it down with a gulp of water."

لبس رسول الله ﷺ الصوف واحتذى المخصوف وقال أكل رسول الله ﷺ بشعا ولبس خشنا فقيل للحسن ما البشع قال غليظ الشعير ما كان يسيغه إلا بجرعة ماء
[Its chain of transmission is very daif] Ibn Adi reported it in 7/2508, 2509 from the hadith of Baqiyyah, with the same wording.Yusuf bin Abu Kathir is unknown (Taqrib), and Hasan reported it with "an" (indicating a possible break in the chain), as noted previously at hadith 71.Busiri said, "This chain of transmission is daif. Nuh bin Zakwan is unanimously agreed to be daif."
