The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When food is served, eat from its edges and leave the middle, for blessing descends upon its center."
حدثنا علي بن المنذر حدثنا محمد بن فضيل حدثنا عطاء بن السائب عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا وضع الطعام فخذوا من حافته وذروا وسطه فإن البركة تنزل في وسطه
[Its isnad is hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Foods, Chapter on Eating from the Top of the Dish, no. 3772, from the hadith of Shubah, from Ata bin Saaib, with this wording. Tirmidhi also narrated it, no. 1805, and said it is hasan sahih.
