Ayesha reported,

We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the pilgrimage in three different ways. Some of us entered the state of ihram intending both hajj and umra together, some of us entered ihram intending hajj alone, and some of us entered ihram intending umra alone.Whoever entered ihram intending both hajj and umra together did not come out of any of the restrictions of ihram until he completed the rites of hajj. Whoever entered ihram intending hajj alone did not come out of any of the restrictions of ihram until he completed the rites of hajj. Whoever entered ihram intending umra alone, once he had circled the House and walked between Safa and Marwa, was released from the restrictions of ihram until he would begin a hajj.

عن عائشة قالت

خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ للحج على أنواع ثلاثة فمنا من أهل بحج وعمرة معا ومنا من أهل بحج مفرد ومنا من أهل بعمرة مفردة فمن كان أهل بحج وعمرة معا لم يحلل من شيء مما حرم منه حتى يقضي مناسك الحج ومن أهل بالحج مفردا لم يحلل من شيء مما حرم منه حتى يقضي مناسك الحج ومن أهل بعمرة مفردة فطاف بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة حل ما حرم عنه حتى يستقبل حجا
