The Prophet ﷺ did not grant permission to anyone to spend the night in Mecca except to Abbas, on account of his duty of providing water to the pilgrims.

[Its chain is daif] Busiri graded it daif because of Ismail bin Muslim, previously mentioned, h: 301, and he quoted Ibn Madini as saying, "Our colleagues are agreed on abandoning his hadith." The preceding hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it.
