The Prophet ﷺ granted the shepherds permission to throw the pebbles one day and skip the next.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عبد الملك بن أبي بكر
أن النبي ﷺ رخص للرعاء أن يرموا يوما ويدعوا يوما
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Hajj, chapter on the concession given to shepherds to throw stones one day and leave it another day, hadith no. 954, from the hadith of Sufyan with this chain, mentioning some wording. Humaydi also related it, hadith no. 856 in my edition, Sufyan narrated to us, Abdullah bin Abu Bakr narrated to us, with this chain.
