I saw the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of Sacrifice at Jamrat al-Aqaba, mounted on a mule. He said, "People, when you cast pebbles at the Jamrah, throw stones the size of those used in finger-flicking."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن يزيد بن أبي زياد
رأيت النبي ﷺ يوم النحر عند جمرة العقبة وهو راكب على بغلة فقال يا أيها الناس إذا رميتم الجمرة فارموا بمثل حصى الخذف
Its chain is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Rites of Pilgrimage, chapter on stoning the pillars, 1966, from the hadith of Ali bin Mushir, transmitted through him. See also 504 regarding the standing of Yazid, and the basic content of the hadith has many corroborating narrations.
