Sawda bint Zama was a slow-moving woman, so she sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to leave Muzdalifah before the rest of the people, and he granted her permission.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه
أن سودة بنت زمعة كانت امرأة ثبطة فاستأذنت رسول الله ﷺ أن تدفع من جمع قبل دفعة الناس فأذن لها
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hajj, chapter "Sending the weak members of one's family ahead at night... etc.", hadith no. 1680, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, with this wording, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hajj, chapter "The recommendation of sending the weak among women and others ahead... etc.", hadith no. 1290/296, from the hadith of Waki, with this wording. The hadith has other routes of transmission as well.
