When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished circumambulating the House, he came to the Station of Ibrahim. Umar said, "Messenger of Allah, this is the Station of our father Ibrahim, of which Allah, glorified be He, said, 'And take from the Station of Ibrahim a place of prayer' [Baqarah 2:125]."Walid said, "I asked Malik, 'Did he recite it this way, And take from the Station of Ibrahim a place of prayer?'"He answered, "Yes."

أنه لما فرغ رسول الله ﷺ من طواف البيت أتى مقام إبراهيم فقال عمر يا رسول الله هذا مقام أبينا إبراهيم الذي قال الله سبحانه {واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى} قال الوليد فقلت لمالك هكذا قرأها {واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى} قال نعم
