The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Madinah enter the state of ihram from Dhul Hulayfah, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn."Abdullah said, "As for these three, I heard them directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and it has reached me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, 'The people of Yemen enter ihram from Yalamlam.'"
حدثنا أبو مصعب حدثنا مالك بن أنس عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة وأهل الشام من الجحفة وأهل نجد من قرن فقال عبد الله أما هذه الثلاثة فقد سمعتها من رسول الله ﷺ وبلغني أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ويهل أهل اليمن من يلملم
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the miqat of the people of Madinah and that they should not enter ihram before Zulhulayfa, hadith no. 1525, and Muslim in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the miqats of Hajj, no. 1182, from the hadith of Malik with the same chain, Muwatta (Yahya): 1/330.
