The Prophet ﷺ granted as additional spoils a quarter on the outward expedition and a third on the return.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث الزرقي عن سليمان بن موسى عن مكحول عن أبي سلام الأعرج عن أبي أمامة
أن النبي ﷺ نفل في البدأة الربع وفي الرجعة الثلث
[Sahih] Narrated by Tirmidhi, Book of Military Expeditions, chapter on distributing spoils, hadith no. 1561, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and he said, "hasan." Makhul used ambiguous transmission wording, mentioned earlier at hadith no. 481, and his hadith has a hasan corroborating witness in Abu Dawud, hadith no. 2750. See the following hadith.
