Ibn Majah 2750

Its chain of transmission is extremely daif. Ibn Adi narrated it (3/993) via the route of Rabi, and Rabi bin Badr has already been discussed under hadith 269, and he was corroborated by Sufyan Thawri, who was a mudallis and used the "an" formula in all the routes.Ibn Hibban narrated it as hadith 1223, and Hakim graded it sahih, with Dhahabi agreeing that it meets the standard of the two Shaykhs (4/348-349). Both of them were also corroborated by Ismail bin Muslim Makki, already discussed under hadith 301, as found in Tirmidhi, hadith 1032, and elsewhere, and by Abu Zubayr, who used the "an" formula, already discussed under hadith 395.So the report is not established as sahih despite these supporting narrations.
