The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Any inheritance that was distributed during the days of ignorance remains according to the distribution of that time, but any inheritance that Islam reached before its distribution is to be divided according to the rules of Islam."
حدثنا محمد بن رمح أنبأنا عبد الله بن لهيعة عن عقيل أنه سمع نافعا يخبر
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما كان من ميراث قسم في الجاهلية فهو على قسمة الجاهلية وما كان من ميراث أدركه الإسلام فهو على قسمة الإسلام
