I was beneath the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with its saliva dripping onto me when I heard him say, "Allah has granted every rightful person their due. So there shall be no bequest to an heir."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا محمد بن شعيب بن شابور حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن جابر عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد أنه حدثه
إني لتحت ناقة رسول الله ﷺ يسيل علي لعابها فسمعته يقول إن الله قد أعطى كل ذي حق حقه ألا لا وصية لوارث
Sourcing, sahih. Daraqutni reported it (4/69) through the hadith of Ibn Jabir, by this route. Saeed bin Abu Saeed Sahili (as mentioned in Sunan al-Kubra by Bayhaqi, 6/265, and in Daraqutni, and Ibn Abdul-Hadi made this explicit, as noted in the margin of Tuhfat Ashraf, 1/225) is majhul, as stated in Taqrib, but his hadith has sahih corroborating narrations, and Busiri and others graded the hadith sahih.
