I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say in his sermon during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Allah has given every rightful person their due, so there is no bequest for an heir."
حدثنا هشام بن عمار حدثنا إسمعيل بن عياش حدثنا شرحبيل بن مسلم الخولاني سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول في خطبته عام حجة الوداع إن الله قد أعطى كل ذي حق حقه فلا وصية لوارث
[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud reported it in the Book of Bequests, chapter on what has been said regarding bequests to an heir, h: 2870, 3565, from the hadith of Ismail, and Tirmidhi graded it hasan, h: 2120.
