The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled that the debt is to be paid before the bequest, even though you recite it as "after any bequest he may have made or any debt" [Nisa 4:11]. Indeed, full brothers from the same mother inherit from one another to the exclusion of half-brothers from different mothers.
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن أبي إسحق عن الحارث
قضى رسول الله ﷺ بالدين قبل الوصية وأنتم تقرءونها {من بعد وصية يوصي بها أو دين} وإن أعيان بني الأم ليتوارثون دون بني العلات
Its chain of transmission is daif. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapters on inheritance, in the chapter on what has been said regarding the inheritance of full siblings, hadith no. 2094, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri, and Sufyan bin Uyayna followed him in narrating it (Tirmidhi, hadith nos. 2095, 2122, and elsewhere).Harith Awar, his status has already been discussed at hadith no. 95, and there is another defect in it. The implied meaning of the hadith has a corroborating witness graded hasan, already mentioned at hadith no. 2433.
