The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills intentionally is handed over to the relatives of the slain. If they wish, they may kill him, and if they wish, they may accept the blood-money, which consists of thirty four-year-old camels, thirty five-year-old camels, and forty pregnant camels. That is the blood-money for intentional killing. Whatever they agree to settle upon belongs to them, and that is the severity of the blood-money."
حدثنا محمود بن خالد الدمشقي حدثنا أبي حدثنا محمد بن راشد عن سليمان بن موسى
قال رسول الله ﷺ من قتل عمدا دفع إلى أولياء القتيل فإن شاءوا قتلوا وإن شاءوا أخذوا الدية وذلك ثلاثون حقة وثلاثون جذعة وأربعون خلفة وذلك عقل العمد ما صولحوا عليه فهو لهم وذلك تشديد العقل
[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in "the Book of Blood Money," chapter "The Guardian of the Deliberate Murder Victim Takes the Blood Money," hadith no. 4506, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Rashid, and Tirmidhi graded it hasan, hadith no. 1387.
