The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no amputation for stealing fruit or the pith of the palm tree."
حدثنا علي بن محمد حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان عن عمه واسع بن حبان
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا قطع في ثمر ولا كثر
Sourcing, [sahih] Nasai reported it, 8/78, Cutting Off the Thief, chapter on what carries no amputation, hadith: 4969, from the hadith of Waki, narrated in this way. Abu Dawud reported it, hadith: 4388, and others, through a different route from Yahya bin Saeed, narrated in this way. It is found in the Muwatta (Yahya's version), 2/839, and its isnad is sahih. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith: 826, as did Ibn Hibban (Mawarid), hadith: 1505.
