The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three whom Allah has taken upon Himself to help: the warrior fighting in the cause of Allah, the slave with a contract of manumission who intends to pay it off, and the one who marries seeking chastity."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وعبد الله بن سعيد قالا حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن ابن عجلان عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد
قال رسول الله ﷺ ثلاثة كلهم حق على الله عونه الغازي في سبيل الله والمكاتب الذي يريد الأداء والناكح الذي يريد التعفف
[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Tirmidhi transmitted it in Fadail al-Jihad, in the chapter "What Has Been Said About the One Engaged in Jihad, the One Who Marries, the Mukatab, and Allah's Help to Them," hadith no. 1655, from the hadith of Ibn Ajlan, with this wording, and he said, "This is a hasan hadith." ... etc. (Qattan) from Ibn Ajlan, who said, "Saeed narrated to me, from Abu Hurairah," with this wording.
