The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of surplus water.
حدثنا علي بن محمد وإبراهيم بن سعيد الجوهري قالا حدثنا وكيع حدثنا ابن جريج عن أبي الزبير
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن بيع فضل الماء
Muslim narrated it in the book of Musaqah, chapter on the prohibition of selling surplus water found in the wilderness that is needed, etc., number 1565, from the hadith of Waki, transmitted through him.
