The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Muslims are partners in three things, water, pasture, and fire, and selling them is forbidden."Abu Saeed said, "He meant flowing water."
حدثنا عبد الله بن سعيد حدثنا عبد الله بن خراش بن حوشب الشيباني عن العوام بن حوشب عن مجاهد
قال رسول الله ﷺ المسلمون شركاء في ثلاث في الماء والكلإ والنار وثمنه حرام قال أبو سعيد يعني الماء الجاري
[Its chain of transmission is very daif] Hafiz said in Talkhis, 3/65, "It contains Abdullah bin Kharrash, who is discarded, though Ibn Sakan graded it sahih." Busiri said, "This chain is daif.
