The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the one owed a debt, "Take what is owed to you with dignity, whether you receive it in full or less than in full."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لصاحب الحق خذ حقك في عفاف واف أو غير واف
[Hasan]. Hakim reported it, 2/32, 33, through the hadith of Abu Hammam Muhammad bin Muhabbab, with this chain. Busiri said, "This isnad is sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari." I say, Abdullah bin Yamin is of unknown status and is not among the narrators of Bukhari. It has corroborating narrations in Ibn Abu Shayba, 7/251, and elsewhere, and the preceding hadith serves as a corroboration for it.
