[Its chain is daif] Tirmidhi narrated it, in the Book of Business Transactions, chapter on what has been said regarding a borrowed item being returned, no. 1266, from the hadith of Ibn Abu Adi, with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 1024, and Hakim said it meets the criteria of Bukhari, 2/47, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Saeed was mentioned previously, no. 429, and Qatada was mentioned previously, no. 175. Both are known for tadlis, and here they narrated using "an" without specifying direct transmission.
