Sourcing, sahih. Reported by Abu Dawud, Sales, Chapter on animal for animal on a deferred basis, hadith 3356, from the hadith of Qatada, transmitted this way, and Tirmidhi graded it sahih, hadith 1237, and Ibn Jarud, hadith 611. Shuba narrated it from Qatada, transmitted this way, as found in four manuscripts of Sunan of Imam Nasai, may Allah have mercy on him, see hadith 2183, and it has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban (Mawarid), hadith 1113, and others.
